Comet Bradfield (C2004 F4) visits the Greenbank Telescope

in West Virginia

Comet Bradfield was just barely naked eye to me on this morning alongside route 62 in Pocohantas County, WV.  I had remembered the layout of the scope and valley while on vacation last fall with the family.  The comet was ENE and I felt like the valley was low enough to provide a good view.  I find the early morning twilight image more pleasing compared to the total darkness images.  The comet is just visible above the barn and to the right.  The other noticeable smudge in the upper center is galaxy M31.  The telescope blurred during the 30 second exposure as it tracked the sky.
